Christmas donation to the food bank Dillenburg

This year again, we made our traditional Christmas donation to the food bank Dillenburg. When handing over the donation last year, we were very impressed by the commitment, the good organisation, and the sincere efforts to help people.

Since that time, the situation for people in need and the food banks in Germany has continued to worsen and is expected to become very difficult this winter. The current issues such as higher energy and fuel costs etc. also affect the food bank Dillenburg. Moreover, the number of people in need clearly exceeds the number of people who can be supported (at the moment about 850 people). The committed team of the food bank Dillenburg tries hard to cope with this situation organisationally, e.g. by new teams and special distributions. For example, there have been special distributions for refugees from the Ukraine since summer. It is very impressive to see how people put their entire heart into this work and help.

This is why we are very pleased to make a donation to the food bank Dillenburg again. Ms. Bianca Denkmann (Coordinator of the Food Bank Dillenburg) and Martin Debus (Voluntary Head of the Food Bank) accepted the donation on 06 December 2022 from Marc Rieser (Managing Director VETTER Krantechnik GmbH) and Oliver Weirich (Head of Human Resources and Finance VETTER Holding AG).
