This year again, it is very important to us to support the food bank Dillenburg in its ceaseless efforts for people in need. About 100 employees regularly organise the collection of food from the participating stores and take care of sorting and distributing it to people from the northern part of the German district Lahn-Dill-Kreis (Hesse) who are entitled to collect food. The fact that the number of customers have doubled compared to the previous year and that donations in kind are declining at the same time makes the situation very challenging for the highly motivated helpers on the spot. Most of them are volunteers and make an incredibly valuable contribution with a lot of passion and commitment.
This is why we are very pleased to make a donation to the food bank Dillenburg again. In addition to the cheque, this year we wanted to make a special gift to the children who come to the food bank. And what better way to do that than with sweets? For this reason, 265 chocolate Santas were bought and given to the food bank for distribution. This number is no coincidence since each Santa represents one VETTER employee. We hope that this campaign will make the children smile.
